I knit this sweater 23.5” long instead of 22.5” long. I worked 4” even before starting the waist shaping instead of 3”.

Since my row gauge was off I followed the directions for the waist shaping as written except I worked 9 rows/1.5” even at the waist instead of 5 rows/1”.

The measurements of my sweater front and back were spot-on but my stockinette sleeve was way too wide. I suspect my gauge in stockinette was a little loose and my gauge in the cable pattern was a little tight.

For the sleeves I cast on 2 fewer stitches than called for, started the increases on row 9 instead of row 7, and increased every 14th row 7 times. I skipped a couple of sleeve cap decrease rows so I would end up with the same number of stitches in the final sleeve cap bind off.

I seamed the sweater then worked the neckband in the round instead of flat. I picked up 94 sts instead of 106 sts.

The yarn was a gift/destash from my grandmother-in-law.
