I think this potholder pattern is super cute but I can’t decide if I like my choice of colors. I keep going back and forth.

This pattern was well-written. I love that there both were charts and written instructions.

I originally made Potholder 1 using a size H hook as recommended in the pattern but it came too big: 8.5” diameter instead of 7”. So I ripped it out and decided to make two versions of Potholder 3 instead because I wanted to make two potholders but I didn’t think I would have enough yarn if I made two versions of Potholder 1.

I went down to a size G hook and ended up with appropriately sized potholders. They were 6.25” square before the SC joining round and 7” square after.

My back pieces looked really wonky and crooked so I sprayed them with water and lay them out to dry to try to straighten things out a bit before attaching them to the front pieces. They’re still not perfect, but they look much better.
