Notes

16 st per repeat, cast on 3 repeats on 4-0 needles, dividing the hex mesh onto either edge.

On US 0 needles, cast on 3 repeats of the mesh and 2 of the flowers.

Had to add stitch markers, as this pattern is asymmetrical and kept throwing me off.

Top sample in top photo knitted on 4-0 (1.25mm) needles, bottom on US 0 (2 mm) needles.

Second photo is the 1.25 mm-needle sample in better light.

There is something going on in this pattern I don’t quite understand:

In line 3, the hex mesh section ends with a YO. The flower pattern section starts, and as its first and only stitch in this line, is a single YO. Then the hex mesh starts over, again with a YO.

That makes a triple YO, with no special instructions on how to treat it, which creates a large hole that doesn’t show in the booklet photo.
