Notes

27April2010: Finally posted pictures! This came out with a lot of positive ease which I love because it feels so comfortable and is great to wear for layering. However, if you’re looking for a tighter fit, definitely go down a size. I could see adding some waist shaping at the seams, and this could definitely be done in the round up to the split for the sleeves. The collar piece (which is knit after the front panels shoulder shaping) could’ve used about 6 extra rows to get it to flop over better - it’s a little tight around the back of the neck for me. The length is perfect - I wanted it to hit just at the top of my jeans, and it does just that!
25April2010: This went SO fast! Sweater is blocking, but all the knitting and finishing work is done done done!
23April2010: The knitting is all done and now I need to piece it together, wash, block, and wear.
21April2010: I cannot stop knitting this. About halfway up the right front.
20April2010: Left front is done. Worked short rows and left stitches live to graft later. Again, the stitch counts change depending on where you are in the pattern, so just worry about making sure you have enough stitches to do the collar rib section (ie. count back that # of stitches for the last bind off instead of counting forward the set # of stitches).
18April2010: I think this might be possible to complete before MDSW.
17April2010: Ended after end of repeat (row 24) then started shoulder shaping. Back measured 21 inches before shoulder shaping - I’m short and this seems like a good length when I held it up on my shoulder. Instead of binding off, I worked short rows for the shoulder shaping, leaving live stitches behind for grafting later. I didn’t come out to the right number of stitches at the end - had two left over - but I don’t think this is going to make a huge difference in the long run of things. Back is done and off on waste yarn.
16April2010: About halfway through the back panel.
13April2010: Moving along quickly so far, LOVING the yarn!
12April2010: I don’t know why, but I’m really bored with all the other WIPs in my queue. Need to start something new/different! It just so happens that I brought back Sirdar Balmoral from Scotland when we visited last year and it’s what the pattern calls for - perfect!

Notes:
Started neck/collar shaping on left front after 2nd repeat, row 4, 9 and 3/4 inches.

Errata: (in Simply Knitting magazine version)
