2011 Easter vest for Ronan. My first garment for the boys.
Vest is done. It turned out perfect! I’m gonna need to get him a better shirt to go with this. I wanted to make the khaki stripe pink but of course Dad wasn’t ok with that. So maybe I’ll make up for it in the shirt. :-)
Cast on for a size 4 as Ronan’s chest measures 24” but will knit length according to a size 6. My guys are tall and skinny.
CC: Pale Khaki
--CO in MC, work 1 round in MC, work 2 rounds in CC
--10” from CO to armhole
--6.5” armhole opening
--started v-neck shaping at 10.75” (I had to do last arm hole decrease on the first v-neck row)
--16.5” from CO to shoulder seam
--26” across chest at underarm seam
-- armhole/neck ribbing: p/u using MC and work 2 rounds, change to CC and work 2 rounds, change to MC and work 1 round, BO in MC.
04/07/11 - Had a little set back. I picked up too many sts on the first arm hole and had to rip it out. Knitting is all done! I hope Ronan doesn’t have a growth spurt before Easter because this is a perfect fit right now. :-)
04/05/11 - Super fast knit. I just have the ribbing on the neck and sleeves to knit.
04/04/11 - Oooh - love the Pale Khaki stripe in this! I’ve got just over 8” of the 9.75” to armhole knitted up in one night. Very quick knit.
