Test knitting this top.
I know…a lot of pics. There’s just so much detail to show and it took so little work to get there. The shaping of the armholes, neck, and strap very little instruction but look so delicate and polished. This is such a beautiful garment, I just wish I did more justice when it’s on the body. :-)
The pattern was easy to follow and quite well written. Yarn usage includes the waste from the strap.
I did have to shorten the straps quite a bit so it might be better to try the tank on as you are knitting the first strap. 9” was way too long for me. And if I were to make this again, I would probably make the body and inch or two longer.
09/03/11 - Knitting is done! I just need to do the three needle bind off on the straps but wanted to block and measure it on the body before doing so.
09/01/2011 - Finished the front straps. Now on the back smocking. I really love how this is turning out. I’m just worried it might be a tad short.
08/30/10 - I’m done with the front! I just have the straps and the back left to finish.
08/21/11 - This yarn has to be the softest yarn I’ve ever knit with! Knitting this and then going to MadTosh TML and the TML feels like steel wool. Yes…it’s true!
