Started 2/1/13 for The Whole Nine Yarns shop sample. Easy pattern to read; will hopefully teach a class on this one in April or May. Perfect for a summer wrap! I set this down for a couple of weeks, due to changing jobs. I did pick it back up yesterday (3/5) and I finished using the first skein and the first section of the pattern. Hopefully in a couple of weeks (like 2, maybe less) I will have it complete. On 3/6, I found an error in my sample. I had to rip back to row 4 to correct it, because it would be noticeable (to me at least) and it could weaken the integrity of the shawl. I have now fixed the issue and can continue making progress. On 3/12, I started counting stitches - it seems I’m off. However, my pattern repeat is correct. Could this be a pattern error? I’m recounting my stitches, and hopefully neither of us is incorrect. 3/28: It was my counting. Good thing - the rest went off without a hitch. I had about a half a ball left. I was surprised that the edging was written out for each individual side. Great pattern - very well written.
