Even being wonky from not being blocked, I love the way this sweater is turning out. Great color.

This yarn is a bit fragile, though.

Grew exponentially with blocking. I had messed up my stitch counts and wound up using stitch counts for a larger size from the neck through the yoke and then somehow ended up with the stitch count for 2 sizes smaller for the body. I still don’t know how…probably just didn’t increase enough but it actually worked out really well since it grew so damn much after blocking.

Arms: Started out with 82 total with the sts on the scrap yarn and the 8 CO underarm sts. Decreased sleeves down to 48 sts then knit about 8 rows before increasing by 12 for the cuff so it’s a little less floppy through the lower arms.

Lengthened body.

It also softened considerably. Went from crisp and scritchy/rough to soft and a bit floppy. Works perfectly for this boxy, loose sweater shape, though.

Drying with rubber bands around the cuffs and neck so they don’t stretch out too much.

Not sure about yardage. I may have used about 1100-1200 yards but that’s just a guess.

This is actually the equivalent of a snuggy. Like a shawl with arms. It’s so big that I can wear it over anything, even another sweater. Not exactly a flattering cut but if you just want warm and snuggly then this is the one.
