Frogged more projects with this yarn than I can count. Trying once again with Bly.

Saw another project that changed increase method and realized I wanted that look, too (jullibelle).
Changed the increases on either side of the shoulder markers to M1R/K1/SM/K1/ M1L so 2 stitches between.
Neck edge are also M1L/M1R
(Overdye with 1/2 bottle of charcoal grey?)
Gauge is off using US6 (19sts/23rws in 4”) but I’m going to motor on because I love the fabric it’s making. I think I should have been using the 7s but whatever. I’ll make it work. If I frog 1 more project with this yarn then I’ll just give up on it forever because I’ll be sick of it.

Moths got to this wool at some point over the years so some of the skeins have breaks in the first 3-5 yards. Just winding off the bits n bobs for something later on. Note to self: cardboard boxes are not ideal for yarn storage…

K3P1 ribbing at the hem for 15 rows. I don’t like the bind off. Might change that.
03-23-2021
Picked up outer rail of bind off stitches. Tied on new yarn, turned and did new, purled bind off. Lays flat and doesn’t flip up. Mildly stretchy.

Added extra length so picking up stitches for the button band/neckline is taking forever. 251 in total. So many stitches. Soooo many.

Aaaaaargh 251 picked up stitches. K3P1 band with buttons. Finished. And it’s too puckery.
Frogged button band. Changing this V-neck cardigan to a pullover by knitting a center panel.
04-03-2021
Decided to block before sewing on the new panel that will turn it into a pullover. It was about 26” long and after blocking it’s 30”.
The chest will end up being about 54” so it will practically be a snuggy.
The panel is 5 repeats of K3P1 that will split at the v-neck. Definitely need to block that before seaming so the lengths match.
Also- will dye it.

Single crochet (slip stitch?) to secure neck edges before sewing on center panel and neck band.
04-09-2021
Added crochet line center front.
Dye bath- a few bloop bloops of brown, purple, charcoal, and pearl grey. Only marginally different than the original. Will try again with less water and more dye.
(2nd run- ~1/3 charcoal, ~1/2 brown, ~1/4 purple)

Wasn’t wearing this and I needed wool insoles for my favorite slippers so… ended up felting it down HARD until it was super thick and could stand up on its own.
Cut a pair of insoles from one sleeve and am saving the rest for other projects.
Incredibly warm and soft as insoles. Happy feet.
