Notes

02-17-2009: Bamboo Wool DOES felt if it’s accidentally run through the washer and dryer… ruined. =(

02-11-2009: Finished sock two the day before yesterday, blocked, and she wore them today. Verdict- very comfy yarn and very cool skull pattern!

02-02-2009: Finished/blocked sock 1. A few goofs. Feels like a ‘house sock’ or a boot sock. The wash water in the bowl was a little pink but the red didn’t bleed into the white and after one rinse the water ran clear.

02-01-2009: Bamboo wool is making a thick and soft fabric. Using the pattern as written (on my bigger needles) the sock was coming out way too big so pulled out the ‘Vogue Knitting- The Ultimate Sock Book’ and used the sock calculator to help with the adjustments.

Removed the white center circle stitches at the beginning and ending of 1st and 3rd repeats since the extra stitches in the back messed that up. It was easiest to just make them black.

The little knots at the joins are noticeable so staying with red all the way down to the toe.

01-30-2009: Experimenting with the bamboo wool for these.

CO 44 on sz 4 dpn’s and working 3 repeats of pattern with two extra ‘blank’ stitches running up the back.
