LOVE this! Easily the most wearable sweater ever. Also loving ReVerb. Very difficult to get an accurate picture of the greyish-purple color. Soft and light. Easy to knit with. Alpaca does shed a little. NOTE: When wet, ReVerb smells bad - like a burned/bitter smell. When dry, it’s fine.
Center back doesn’t have increases on either side of the HBS so if you suddenly realize you have 6 extra sts after merrily knitting 3 increase rows… that might be why. Argh.
She actually points this out before any knitting happens but my brain just didn’t register.

Finally in the right frame of mind to go through and figure out measurements. Going with size 5B. 0” ease in arms since I’ll be wearing it alone or with only a camisole/tank top.

Nearly chickened-out of doing the bust darts because it just seemed like so much effort but after going a row (or 2… maybe 3) past where they should have started, I caved and watched the videos and dove in.
If you are at all hesitating on doing bust darts, watch the videos and look at project photos (and practice!!!) because they’re nearly invisible when done correctly.
Mine were visible but turns out I was doing them the wrong way. Make sure to snug those double-stitches up tight. I didn’t, so they are visible.
With the way the sweater is constructed, it appears that for those that do not do darts but have a substantial bustline the HBS triangle will poof out in front and not lie flat.

Added a chunk of extra rows before starting the triangle and total body length is ~27 inches from neck back to hem before blocking. There are about 28 rows in the triangle section of this size 5. Maybe 29. Realized my gauge is off after swatching but ReVerb on sz 7 needles makes a soft, light fabric that I love.
Not doing HBS on arms.
The more I look at the shorter versions the more I think I want two Ursinas. This longer one and another shorter version to go over long shirts/camisoles. This is a really versatile sweater and very flattering.

Neckline was huge so tried picking up neckline sts and knitting with szUS5 needles (2 sizes down) but it was waaaay too tight.
Frogged neck, picked up and knit with szUS7 and it was much better.
After blocking, sportweight on sz US7 turned out a bit big:
Chest- 50”
Back neck to hem - 29”
The bust darts are slightly visible depending on the light angle (UPDATE: MY FAULT! I was doing them the wrong way). I started mine lower than usual because I kept knitting rounds while I decided whether I wanted them. Turned out to be a good thing. It fits better and they are less visible when just under the ‘apex’ area.
