Notes

Nord is soft and light. 5 star yarn. Larger needles than pattern calls for. Very light layering piece.

My stitch counts might have been off but the lace pattern needed to be adjusted so that both front pieces in the lace section mirrored each other. It makes sense that it would happen if my stitch count was off but I really only had to undo a couple of rows after I realized it was happening. I just wanted the front edges of the lace pattern to look the same where they met the button band.

Lace pattern gets a little lost with such big needles but the fabric is very light. Still happy with it. Excited to see what blocking does.

Wet-blocked body before starting on sleeves to gauge finished length and the body grew 4” from 34” to 38” in the back(not including collar band).

Under arms = 60” (ginormous armholes)

Very light and lacy. Soft. Also- I did not follow the pattern as far as needles/yarn so am unhappy with the result. My doing entirely. It’s pretty much a snuggy so I might suggest following the pattern for needles/yarn if you want it to look like the photos.

I made the XL and wish I’d made the L or even the M since my needles were so much bigger.

Used 7 skeins plus a couple yards for the body.

Finished one arm and am suddenly loving this cardigan again! Adding a sleeve changed the drape and fit. It’s a duster more than a cardigan but not the bathrobe I thought it would be.. Glad I didn’t throw it in a basket to forget about for years.

Finished a couple months ago and it’s a wonderfully well-written pattern with beautiful details. However- maybe don’t try to upsize the needles to create something more flowy. I will 100% make this again using the actual needle sizes called for because larger needles created a piece that’s Lagenlook on steroids.

It’s been balled up on a shelf (thus, the wrinkled fabric in the photo), waiting for me to see if it can be shrunk down a bit for my daughter but I haven’t attempted that yet.

Or I might keep it and make her a new one that fits. Not sure yet.
