Notes

This is one of those projects that has been sitting around forever… But I really do love the finished project.

My modifications:

  • I used roko’s Vesper as an inspiration to avoid the pleats as written in the pattern. However, I just couldn’t make the provisional cast-on work when knitting in the round, so I just did a regular long-tail cast on. After a few inches I picked up stitches from the cast on in the contrast color, and knit up for a few centimeters before improvising the pleats, and finishing with an I-cord bindoff

  • I made the sleeves longer and again finished with an I-cord bindoff (no pleats). I made the body longer and also ended with an I-cord bindoff. I didn’t really feel like adding a pocket.

  • I ended up placing the armholes too low, so I placed a lifeline at the desired height, and removed the white pleat section at the top. I ended up frogging most of the short row section except for two short rows, and then I grafted the yellow and white sections together. It worked out really well, and I like the pattern better with the fewer short rows. It was gaping way too much earlier when ever I bent forwards, but now the fit is perfect.
