11.21.14 Finished a couple of easy coffee cup cozies in the last few days, just tubes, basically.

I am now interested in also doing some more complex ones that can be used on mugs with handles. The Fancy Mug Cozy is really pretty, someone on Knit and Chat posted a project using it and I really like it. I think this will be next!

11.25.14 I got 4/5 sections done and then I noticed some mistakes, so last night I started over. I’m back where I was now. Should be able to finish tonight.

11.30.14 I’ve done a few of these and I found a pattern improvement. If you do 4 knit rows instead of 3 at the beginning, the loose ends wind up in opposite corners and you can use them to sew the corners together.

Having an extra knit row looks fine visually, too. I think I actually like it better.

12.01.14 I did these using different needles. I was kind of not paying attention and did the first couple on US8s, then noticed how they were a little on the big size. It’s okay, because I definitely want one for a Beehouse teapot cozy and they fit great for that. Then I did one on US6 needles, then one on US7. The US6 needle one is a little big because another problem is I lose track of the repeats on this pattern and make the whole thing too long! Problems with knitting and watching television. So with these oversized ones, I might felt them a bit to get them sized properly.
