06.10.14 I decided to use up some stash yarn I found in storage. A few years back, I loaded up on this yarn to make scarves for people for the holidays, and I still have partial skeins of the dusty blue, dusty sage and spice colors. I am going add in some natural white and make a sampler pillow. The plan is to use various cabling and other decorative stitching techniques from New Stitch a Day.

For this project, I am using my grandmother’s aluminum Boyd knitting needles, US#9, which is kinda cool. She taught me to knit when I was very young, of which I remember very little!

11.16.14 I decided to sacrifice this project so as to use the yarn for something else: coffee cup cozies for Christmas gifts.
