Notes

I no longer have the pattern, but it was a flyer from Manos del Uruguay my LYS had on hand. I remember it knit up really quickly because you doubled up the yarn strands and used big needles, too (US15 or 16). The yarn is really the star here, not the craftsmanship! :) But it was a fun and satisfying project.

I did one side with a medium blue-gray and the other with a variegated colorway combining very light gray and dark blue-gray. A very simple pattern, basically two rectangles that you stockinette-stitched and then kitchener stitched together and crocheted a contrasting edge. Easy peasy!

This was my first non-scarf project and it was a good beginner project with “impressive” results in that it was a full-on piece of clothing, not just an accessory. I still have and wear this poncho.
