FROGGED December 2019 - Nothing wrong with the cardigan but it didn’t fit any more and I wanted to reuse the yarn :)

I threw caution to the wind here, as I only had about 80% of the recommended yarn. I shortened the body slightly then knit the sleeves carefully weighing the yarn to get as much length as possible. After sewing on the buttons I had about 8” left!

I made the 48.25” size at the bottom, and reduced 1.5 sizes using A-line instead of hourglass shaping (just decreasing, no increasing) to end up halfway between the 41” and 45.25” sizes by bust level.

Other modifications were:

• Buttons placed every 20 rows to match the texture pattern
• Sleeves more tapered than written
• Back neck joined with grafting rather than a 3-needle bindoff
• A slipped stitch edge on each side
• One more garter ridge in the hem
• … I think that’s all!
