My sister-in-law is coordinating an ongoing supply of snuggly cuddle-blankets to the ward of Christchurch Children’s Hospital where my late niece spent a lot of time. I am going to be making these regularly for her :)

This one is a mitred square in garter stitch, made by casting on 3 stitches then doing a knit-front-back-front double increase in the centre stitch on each right side row.

Crocheted border with one round of *hdc, ch 1* (skipping the stitches under the chains), 4mm hook.
