Can you believe this is the first scarf I’ve ever made for myself? I don’t even own any commercial scarves! But, as a knitter, I am determined to become a Scarf Person :D

I used a slightly lighter weight yarn and correspondingly smaller needles than specified, so I cast on 48 extra stitches. I also did not join to work circularly until after the initial section of garter stitch. Otherwise I knit precisely to pattern.

Rows 6 and 12 of the cocoon stitch chart have some fiddly increases and decreases, but the rest is easy going.
