I held this lace weight yarn double and it still knit up as a lace weight - SO FINE.

Knit to pattern, except for the very top.

I initially knit everything as written but it curled very badly so I unpicked to the last plain stockinette row and did about an inch of garter stitch (7 ridges on each side, so 14 rows) then the Icelandic out-of-order bind off.

I had a few moments of confusion until I realised that if you have a marker between each repeat they sometimes have to be moved. The repeat marked in red shifts in position several times. (This is not noted in the pattern - but it also doesn’t tell you to use markers in the first place, so not exactly an omission!)

Luckily the lace is easy to read so once you know it’s no big deal to check each row and see if the repeat is falling in the same place. I’d still recommend using markers as most of the time they stay still.
