Notes

First weaving project!

My goals were just to get used used to the loom operation, and try my best to keep things even and whatnot.

12.5 reed and 92 ends in the warp. The fabric is similar to a lot of hand-woven plain weave things I’ve looked at, but it’s too holey for my taste, I’ll use a 15dpi reed next time I’m weaving with sock yarn.

I used a super ugly dye-failure yarn from my stash; it actually looked okay in the end I think :) Finished with braided fringe because that seemed easier than twisted (I don’t have a fringe twister) - I’ll try hemming on my next project.

Finished size 110cm long, excluding fringe, and 17cm wide. This is too short for an adult scarf but I wanted to warp using the length of my dining table and see what I’d end up with - now I know! No biggie, will just use a chair a bit further away to hold the warping peg next time.
