I have to say, this was FIDDLY. Maybe it’s just my inexperience - I’ve crocheted lots of toys but this was my first knitted one.

Still, I love the result :)

I finished working on him while watching my country’s parliament vote in favour of marriage equality so now he’s a reminder of that excitement.

Modifications:

• Crocheted white eye circles instead of using felt: two rounds of dc stitches with DMC perle cotton and a 2.25mm hook
• Made my own mouth: crocheted a sort of cup piece and folded it up to make lips/beak
