Notes

Matching dad-and-daughter Viking hats for my husband JSR’s birthday. Aw.

I bought this pattern months ago after he admired it on Etsy, waited until he’d forgotten about it again, then made a set on the sly while he was at work!

Great pattern, clever detailing and a neat method of forming the horns.

I’m using a slightly thinner yarn than recommended, so the Large size in the pattern ended up being a good fit for Willow, and I improvised an “XXL” for JSR by adding two additional increase rounds and four additional rounds of length (plus similar changes to the horns).

I can’t take credit for the awesome title I gave my project, it came from an illustration by Jared Schorr :) http://www.flickr.com/photos/supercoolspyclub/5435226057/

These hats are featured in episode 43 of my video podcast Gentle Ribbing!
