FROGGED May 2020 - nothing wrong with the sweater (in fact, I wore it a lot!) but it no longer fit. I’ll reuse the yarn :)

I’m knitting the M2 numbers (42.5” bust), to end up with something approximately L size (46”) as my gauge is a little bigger. My bust is 44” so that should give me a comfortable but not oversized fit.

I added a few (6 or 8?) extra increases to make it a little more A-line as I’m shaped like a MEGAPEAR.

I originally knit this to pattern length, but then it grew longways in blocking, so I ripped back a lot and did the bottom band again. It’s now a short sweater length - not quite cropped, but a bit shorter than written. I think the length is good for me, though, especially as I’ll only ever be wearing it over dresses.

I decided not to shorten the sleeves, even though they grew as well, since garter stitch means I can turn back the cuffs if I need to keep my hands free, and if not it’ll be snuggly over my wrists.

I was really happy with the new length and loved this pattern EXCEPT for the neckline, which kept touching the front of my neck. I cannot stand neck touching so I came back a few weeks after finishing and did some major surgery, cutting away part of the front of the neck and finishing it off basically like a steek, knitting a new scooped neckband upwards. It was a bit of gamble but really paid off, and now I know I’ll wear this sweater a lot!
