This vest was made with the express purpose of practicing steeks for the first time on something quick and easy, so I’m thinking of it as an extended swatch. The pattern was written for sport weight yarn in a newborn size - but I made it in bulky yarn and hoped to get a toddler/child size.

Instead it’s more suited for a small adult (no, I didn’t swatch, since this was basically a big swatch anyway!) and super fugly, especially as I ran out of yarn and had to use a contrast for the bands. The yarn is a bit scratchy too, so I doubt it will get worn.
