I purchased the yarn for this project. I wasn’t planning on spending as much as I did, but when I saw Alcyone from DarkYarns, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. The second color is a recycled merino in a nice steely grey from FunYarns.

Cast this on March 11th. As a newbie to the knitting world, I was a little intimidated, but so far the project hasn’t been overly challenging and I have learned the difference between M1L and M1R.

I am so ready to be done with this project! It’s been hanging out for too long on the needles and I’m going to really buckle down this week and get it done. It’s been a learning experience and it’s not without flaws (which are totally on me… I’m still a newbie and there have been a few “OMG WHAT DID I DO??? moments), but I think the result will be beautiful.

It took lots longer than expected, but the project is completed! And I daresay, despite my doubts and thoughts of ripping everything apart and starting over, I am pleased with the results, to the point where I am more than please to leave good enough alone. Like my other early knitting patterns, I shall embrace the flaws and enjoy my finished garment thoroughly. The colors are beautiful, and after I get it blocked it’ll be perfect. <3

The name of this lovely wrap is now Timestop (as in the spell timestop from D&D. Yeah.
