2/26: I had a snow day last week, which gave me the perfect opportunity to just park on the couch, drink tea, watch Mad Men, and plug away at this. I don’t know why I was having such a rough time of figuring this chart out in places… the early bits of the scarf are rife with flaws. I’ve done all of the techniques required before… I am going to blame the fact that this is my first lace weight project.
Now it’s smooth sailing. The Mithrandir mark in the corner turned out quite nicely despite early difficulties, the color is perfect, and I’m very close to finishing the first chart. My only complaint at this point is that it’s taking a long time to build up, but that’s to be expected.
2/22: I frogged this a couple of weeks ago and cast it back on last night. I am doing much better this time around. I’m on row 22 or so.
2/1: I am having the worst time getting a rhythm on this project…
1/27: Cast on.
1/18: Yarn arrived! Going to wind it into a ball and get this cast on possibly this weekend.
1/12: Not that I need another scarf, but… I couldn’t resist… this pattern is beautiful, and the idea of making it from some madelintosh or something… yummy! Need to order yarn as of yet, but I have some yarn.com store credit to use.
Ordered Madelinetosh Tosh Lace in Steamer Trunk for this project.
