Real Start Date: Oct. 29, 2011/changed for Ravelympics

7:17 PM - I am keeping the same color sequence but alternating thickness of stripes. I will switch up to a J now, but if it gets weird, I will start to work off the other side so that I may even out the work and the weird part would be at the bottom of the bag.

6:50 PM - I noticed right away that an I hook is too small for this yarn. I think I will switch to a J for the bigger yarn and back to the I for the smaller. I won’t re-do it because I don’t feel like it. I am enjoying the chevron pattern, though. I am getting design ideas.

I think the different textures of these yarns will make a really cute chevron pattern. I like this pattern, but I rarely use clutches. I’m going to use the black cording to finish the sides and edges. The tote will be lined. :)
