Notes

1-2-11 - I’m done!!! I decided to use the appliques on the ends only and I love the result. That means I can save the rest of the appliques for other projects. :) It’s a great scarf!

10:23 PM - I’m done with all of the toppings and I’m just sewing them on. I’ve never done a project that has given me more joy! It’s really fun making crocheted food! Who knew? I think that Twinkie’s patterns are low stress and not so fussy. I love that. So calm. I’m totally down with that style. And in true DIY style, you’re given the freedom to choose the length and arrange the veggies however you want. I know that anytime you make something yourself, you have that option, but often you’re not “given permission” right in the pattern. Well done, TC! :)

8:15 PM - I’m done with the cucumbers and I’m almost through with the tomatoes. I made a little mod and a few variations on the tomato. Mod: instead of doing scs on the base, I did slsts. Variation: I made a couple that were full circles.

6:11 PM - I’ve made all of the mushrooms, eggs, and radishes. Next- cucumbers, carrots, and tomatoes! It’s really fun hunting through my stash and actually USING it! :)

I am also thinking of adding spicy won-ton crunchies. :)

1-1-11 Holy moly I love this scarf! I originally started it because my cousin seems to love my crocheted items and was talking about eating a lot of salad, but I’ve fallen in love with this scarf & I can’t let it go! Cousin will receive a scarflet! hehehe

The only mods I’ve made were just alternating between different types of green to simulate the leaf look. I used different yarns on the ruffle as well and skipped the dark green round.

Now on to the toppings!
