9/20/11 Finished! I think I bound off on the edging a little too tightly, will see what blocking does to it. So far happy with it, I think blocking will help a lot though. Also, it’s for a 4 year old, so despite her knitter mom, the recipient probably won’t notice anything. Also very happy I took this on, it was much easier than I thought, and I learned a lot. Feeling like I might even be willing to attempt a sweater for myself sometime, though kid sweaters are more fun :)

9/18/11 After hiatus, the push is on to finish this, block it, and find a button in order to give it to the birthday girl one week from today…eek. Almost finished the second sleeve today, will finish that tomorrow and then get knitting on the button band. Probably no pictures until the finished product now, then a before and after blocking. The crunch is on!

8/14/11 Finished the body, sleeves up next. Color in these pictures is totally off :(

7/31/11 Divided for sleeves. Did a bunch of knitting today, hands are telling me to stop! Next session, a couple of inches of stockinette on the body before starting the cable/ribbing portion.

Attempting a birthday sweater for C this year, like I’ve been saying for the past 3 years. Hoping that this will actually be a little big for her so that she can wear it next year too.
