It took me almost 6 months to knit this sweater since I bought this pattern, because I couldn’t find a suitable yarn. I didn’t want to use suggested, worsted weight yarn, because I like when sweater I wear is light weight, not to heavy, so I could easily wear it under the jacket, so I used light fingering yarn and hold it double. Love the details, like folded sleeves (such a clever thing!) and large cables on the shoulder, and the cowl. It was the quickest sweater I have ever knit (only 6 days of knitting!), and I am sure my wardrobe requires another one, and soon (maybe in red?)

Since I am not the oversize fan, I decided to make the body of the sweater a bit (large “bit” ;)) slimmer.

My mods:

• worked 2 rows longer cable to be able to pick up the required number of stitches for size M in ratio 2 sts per 3 rows.
• worked 5 more decrease rounds (-20 sts in the body) to achieve slimmer body
• in order to get mirrored folding in the sleeves, I knit in second sleeve first 12th round, and then 1st.

I used light fingering yarn held double and got the given gauge with airy and light fabric, this yarn is not so soft after soaking like I expected it to be, but it worked wonderful, is drapey, light and really warm!
