Seems like my gauge is close… more like 8sts/10.5rows over 2” (so 16sts/21rows) but I’m going to call it close enough cause I don’t have any US9 needles (yet).

Followed directions exactly. CO is snug but not tight, even on my (larger than average) head. I keep pestering the husband to try it on a man-head, but it’s nice to have the confirmation that sizing seems spot on.

And blocking! I had just over a yard of yarn left. I got a little nervous at the end but it worked out perfectly. And the hat looks really great! I hope this wet-blocks well.

All blocked and dry and packed up and mailed! I did try it on before packing it up and the hat is great! Soft and light but warm. Hope FIL likes it!
