Not swatching. Which could mean having to frog a few hours of work, but whatever.
Doing plain purling for the turning row as I had a falling out with picot edging previously and am not yet ready to make amends.
Worked drawstring holes in row 13 instead of 12.
Muahahahaha! Stitch gauge is spot on! Row gauge is off thought at 32 rows per 4”. Will have to cut out some rows to keep things in line. Roughly I will need to knit 4 rounds for every 5 rounds directed in the pattern.
Worked 8 short rows instead of 10 to accommodate row gauge.
Increases to be spread out over 40 rounds instead of 50, specifically rounds 1, 10, 20, 30 and 40.

On crotch shaping - the row gauge is causing some issues now. To get the right length, I need to do 26 rounds instead of the pattern’s 30. Which gives me two rounds of increases I need to stick somewhere. I’m doubling up on the increases (doing increase one and increase two) on rounds 15 and 17. Hopefully that should do it.
Aside from that, things are going swimmingly. It looks like a hooker-sized miniskirt but the fit and shaping is spot on.

No increase round on the legs. Extended leg to 9 rounds, purled rnd 10. Switched to US4 and worked 5 more rounds. Cut yarn, folded hem and sewed down.

Icord drawstring. Going. So. Slowly.

Done! They are FABULOUS. Like so fabulous. I need more of these. Hopefully they won’t relax too much while blocking because they are practically perfect in every way.
Next time, I think a little less short row shaping above the bum (just a row or two as it seems to make the back a little too long). Also, I think I’ll do the inside of the waistband in a smaller needle size so the hem doesn’t flare (like I did for the leg hems) and decrease the circumference by an inch or so, then increase up to the regular stitch count rot after the waistband.
