Half and half toe: 22/42/66
Did (p, ktbl, p) on either side of instep sts.
At ½” in front the heel line, I started increasing for a mini 6 st (3 each side) gusset.
Worked short row heel over all heel sts plus gusset sts (39 sts).
After heel did not decrease the gusset sts but rather continued the p, ktbl, p section up each side between front and back sts. This should give me extra circumference and stretch without switching needle sizes.

I am quite enjoying these. The yarn is soft and lovely to knit with and the pattern is super easy to remember. I chose this pattern because it was one of the few (only) chevron patterns not to include YOs and a it has double decrease instead of paired decreases. Just something a little different.

The first sock is completed and the fit is great! The extra sts make the sock easy to get on and off and give it a comfortable fit around my leg. I could have decreased some sts before doing the ribbing as it is MUCH looser fitting than the chevron section but meh, something to do different next time!

And now the second sock is done and I love these! Next up: blocking!
