Had some blocky pooling start up. I starting changing up my tension just a bit once I realized it and that solved the problem but there was just too much pooling that happened before I clued in, so I ripped back 6” and am redoing them, this time switching up my tension a bit to make more streaks of color and fewer blocks.
Other than that one issue, I’m enjoying this boring knit. There’s something forcefully delicate about working with lace at such a loose gauge.
Switched to US5s for ribbing because ribbing.

Picked up 8 sts under arm. Dec at corners on first round. Continued as indicated by pattern.
I so hope that all my crazy uneven sts block evenly. I love the weight of this on the whole but lace weight at this loose gauge is not my favorite.

Finished first sleeve. Continued decreases all the way down and made full length sleeves. Finished off with 15 rib rounds and BO.

All blocked and finished. Thankfully none of the knots in the yarn came loose during soaking. Things lengthened a LOT but beautifully so. This is such a lovely, light little fluff of a sweater though that it is almost impossible to fold!
Next time I’d do two things: check the yarn more thoroughly for knots while balling and do something different on the collar - it’s so floppy and unstructured it’s a bit odd.

After trying to wear this the other day and it looking too messy because of the collar, I redid the bind off to be tighter. It might be a tad too tight in a couple of spots but it greatly improves the wearability of this sweater. Honestly, with the yarn I used (lace weight silk), this cardigan is just a bit too unstructured. It needs tighter edges to not end up being a ball of mush. Sadly, I don’t really wear this sweater - it looks too messy.
