Why do I never follow directions? So many anticipated changes.

CO 60 (because I can’t count) with US1 with Kitchener rib.
Knit 1 round of 1/1
Adjusted to 2/2 by moving around the stitches
Knit for a total of 12 rounds
Knit 1 round peach
Knit 1 round blue
Knit 1 round peach
Continue in blue to 20 rounds total.
Knit 1 round (increasing 4 sts, evenly spaced). Switch to US1.5. Knit 1 round. Begin chart.

On round 10 I started the thumb gusset based on the gusset from Wintergreen Gloves. Continued to repeat the gusset in pattern to the plain knit round above the head of the last row of flamingos.

Cast on 8 sts. Knit plain next round. Decrease gusset cast on once per round until there were only 4 extra stitches.

After last round of chart, switched back to US1, knit one round and then began 2/2 rib for 10 rounds.
Kitchener bind off.

For thumb, there are 25 sts. Picked up 10 more.
With US1, knit 1 round, decreasing at corners and once at center back. Work 2/2 rib for 8 rounds.

The thumb looks big but fits so perfectly. I suppose I really do have meaty thumbs!

Gloves weigh a total of 57g.
