Notes

The sizing choices are a little confusing since the charts I’ve found do not show a correlation between the sizes listed in this pattern. It’s made it difficult to pick a size for the husband’s feet. He wears US8½ or 9 and European 41-43, depending on style. But this says a 43 is a US11, which would be too big for him. Basing it on cm, his size converts to a 27.5. So I’m going to go with the 27cm size since these are stretchy. Which should work since he needs Socks slightly larger than mine and that would be one size up from what I made myself.

17 Apr
Switched to larger needle at beginning of gusset chart.

And it seems to have worked. As of the heel turn, things are fitting fine to a tad snug, which is exactly where I want it because my socks always relax after blocking. Tomorrow I shall start the second sock and catch it up to the first one. The just the legs remain!

25 Apr
Doing an extra repeat of rounds 1-12 to extend the leg and make the pattern taller instead of just ribbing. I feel like these are messier than the pair I made for myself but I think that’s because of the stitch definition this yarn gives.
