I decided to hide the color change on the back of the sock. It has only just occurred to me that carrying the yarn up the sole may irritate my foot. Oops? Hopefully not; this yarn is pretty soft so my chances of no irritation are very good, I think.

Using the sl st option for jobless stripes. Seems to be doing well. I have tried this before and was less than thrilled but I think that was because I wasn’t loose enough in my transitions, causing too much disruption of the fabric. I’m keeping things looser for the first three stitches of the first two stripe rounds and I am much happier with the transitions.

Short row heel over 38 sts. Heel started after 6 full red stripes and 2 rnds of a 7th. Started heel in middle and cut red since I have no way to carry it over the heel (nor would I want to).

The color changes are happening at a slower pace than I anticipated. These socks might end up being a little off.

Finished up the knitting last night and the ends this morning. The slow color change has given me socks not quite like I imagined but they are more cohesive than I thought they’d be at the foot, so I’m not unhappy.
