Adapted the pattern a bit to make the fishy fit a bar of soap to be a shower scrubby. Added 4ch to the starting chain to make the mouth wider which resulted in one more cluster stitch around, which lead to a slightly longer tail (starting it off with 3 clusters instead of 2). Also, I closed off the bottom of the fishy and added a little drawstring to close the mouth.

This was a lot of fun to make. I kind of want an excuse to make another one so I can make it a full pocket instead of a pocket with the tail added on. It’s so cute!

I had a lot of fun crocheting the fish last night and had some ideas of how I wanted to adapt it, so I went ahead and did another one. This one I did with the same ch-24 as before but I greatly shortened the rows and did the tail taper on both sides then closed it up, creating a pocket out of the whole fish. It fits a bar of soap perfectly!
