Notes

With 4 strands held together
CO 40
Join in the rnd
1/1 rib for 30 rnds
6 rnds garter
Tongue = 24 garter ridges.
Broke yarn and reattached at end of second half of cuff (the section unworked when making the tongue). Purled to beginning of round (13 sts), w&t, knit across cuff, picked up stitches, did final decrease row across tongue, picked up stitches, knit to beginning of round. (This kept there from being a short section of two knit rows in the garter stitch at on the back right of the cuff.)
Worked 5 garter ridges for sides of foot.

I’ve never used Puff paint before for slipper bottoms but I gave it a go this time. I didn’t realize that steaming is what “puffed” the paint so that’s kinda neat. The steaming made the paint softer and more flexible and changed it from shiny to matte. I think the grip is a bit better too, but I think it would have been fine either way for grip. Comfort, I think, steaming will be best.

Third pic shows steamed paint (left) and unsteamed paint (right) for comparison.
