Just using this chart to 1) learn how to double knit and 2) make a cover to block the light of my digital clock at night.

Ha! I spent ages trying to find a two color tubular bind off so the BO matches the CO before I figured out I could just knit one extra row of knit in in orange and then do a regular kitchener BO in pink, making the two sides match up and match the CO.

The sides are a little messy though. Some of it is my issues with double-knitting for the first time and some of it just seems to be the fact that double knitting is slightly skewed. I’m not sure of the best way to prevent this in the future or the best way to even it out after the fact.

I think I’m just going to use blocking to fudge the edges a bit since I can’t figure out a way to even them or edge them that I like.

It is now all blocked and fits perfectly over the bright display of my alarm clock! I ended up kind of turning and tucking the edges a bit while I blocked it to square up the off-set caused by the double knitting. Next time I’d probably do it a little differently, but honestly, next time I want to try something two at a time and then I won’t have them connected so the off-set won’t exist!
