Being daring with this one - no gauge swatch. I’m using my gauge information from my Brick sweater which was also DK yarn.

About 16 hours in. Kind of getting itchy to cast on for socks, but I’m pleased with how this is going. Did have to stop front increases sooner than pattern formula said to. I think it doesn’t do so great calculating for a deep neck but small overall sweater circumference. But it seems pretty perfect for the arm and back stitches.

Around 45 hours end and I just have to lengthen the bottom band and do the neckband. I’m going to need to get more teal though - the sweater really won’t look right if I use anothe color.

I stopped counting how many hours I’ve worked on this, but it really hasn’t been that much the past two weeks. Finally getting back to this and finishing it off with the neckband.

US 5 for the main body, US 4 for the sleeve cuffs, US 3 for the bottom and neck bands (it turned out a little too tight to use for the sleeves, thus the switch to US 4 for those.)

Using short rows (shadow wrap) to make the shawl collar. Think this will end up so awesome.

Also, tubular bind offs everywhere. Gah, they take forever.

Blocking! Fingers crossed it doesn’t massively grow!

Finally dry! It’s lovely! The yarn really smoothed out - some length was added but not too much. Overall the blocking makes it feel less bulky and gives it a bit of drape (just a tad).

I now have a long spreadsheet of the pattern for this (as I wrote it down as I knit it). I have no idea why I would ever need it again, but I can’t bring myself to delete it. Souvenir, perhaps?
