Okay, this is both really confusing and really fun. It’s confusing because I have to go from page 45 to page 7 to page 46 to page 25 to page 46 to page 18 to page 45… I’ve made lots of copies and have a nice little stack of them now.
On the other hand, this is so fun! It’s challenging keeping straight if I’m stranding or twining in addition to all the other colorwork things one must think about. It’s exciting!
Though I have managed to switch the colors when casting on so, to follow the charts, I’m knitting needle 2 first, then needle 1. Oops.

The foot of slipper one is done! It lacks the cuff but I had to try it on - it fits great! A little loose on the sides (but I have narrow feet) but I think it will be perfect for slipper-dom.

Ugh! This pattern is so frustrating. The organization is horrible - while I appreciate the step-by-step, to follow a single pattern (that isn’t the basic pattern) is so frustrating because so much page turning is required. I keep on missing something between page flips and screwing up. I FINALLY have both slipper feet done and will start (again) on the cuffs tomorrow. GAH!

One slipper down! Just the cuff of the second one and blocking to go. Very excited!
How They Fit (Me): I’m an US8.5 shoe size with slightly narrow feet (though not so narrow to require a narrow shoe) so these are a bit loose. The fold at the heel wants to pucker out towards the back a little, but smoothing it helps it conform to my heel pretty nicely - I’m sure blocking will help this. The slipper is a bit loose on the foot width-wise, but that was expected. The ankle is nicely snug.
The husband has also tried these on (he’s a men’s US8) and the foot part fit him almost perfectly but the ankle was almost too snug for him to comfortably get on (he didn’t want to tug too firmly).

The second slipper is finished and all of the ends are woven in. Blocking tomorrow!

Blocked and worn! So toasty! It’s a little long in the heel and wide in the foot, but they fit very much like a pair of Joe Boxer bootie slippers that I always steal from the husband so thumbs up!
