I have been running into some sad days lately so thought I’d perk things up with a feel-good project. Which means obnoxious color, comfortingly easy, and socks. Ta da!

I’m trying the Half & Half toe from the Custom Socks: Knit To Fit Your Feet book I bought myself for my birthday. Using the version for short-toed folks. It is adorable (is it weird that I think a sock toe is adorable?) and fits so wonderfully on my foot form. I’m thinking I might have found a new toe!

All done! I’ve been working on these a lot because the colors make me happy. I used a forked short row heel and 1/1 ribbing for the cuff with a Kitchener bind off. Lovely end result! The socks/yarn is a bit stiff so I’m curious to see how it will react to blocking.

All done and they are lovely! The yarn did soften, though it still feels sturdy. Also, neon is hard to photograph. Reds get rather intense and just bleed.
