Notes

This beautiful blanket has a delicate vintage look that is very appealing. While it looks complicated and is an impressive piece when blocked, it is actually a simple one to knit. The pattern consist of a 4 row repeat that are easy to follow.

My daughter selected this lovely kettle dyed fair trade merino wool from Uruguay. The slight variations in the kettle dying process resulted in a beautiful, beautiful piece.

I was uncertain how the pattern would result is a wavy edge on the cast on edge as well as the bind off edge, but it worked! It can easily be shaped as desired during the blocking process.

While this is a beautiful pattern for a baby blanket, it would also be lovely made larger for the couch or the porch swing!
