Jan 20: Tried to work out the best possible wings through trial and error. Wound up with garter stitch.

Jan 19: Just for fun, I went here and whipped up a hypothetical final look for my little zebrasaur. Assuming the yarn doesn’t run out, after the legs I’ll be doing the wings, head fins and maybe the tail fin.

Jan 18: The yarn is now making my dragon into something like a zebra plesiosaur. He should be small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, and that’s before I get the legs done.

Jan 2: I blame How To Train Your Dragon (which I finally watched today).

Such a pain that a lot of the dragon patterns I liked are either purchase-only or crochet. Looks like I’m going to improvise one close to my specifications.
