I decided to add a bit to the concept, to make sure it stayed on and to be able to take it on and off (I will be making one for my sister, and she uses her shoes for other things than running as well).

And I think it looks a bit cooler, the silver elastic adds to the “racing shoe”-style.

Note to self - I am wearing it on my left shoe with the grafted seam pointing forward/down.

Tried running with it today, and the upper seam got a little loose. Need to weave in the yarn better. Other than that, it seems to work!

I did decrease back to 12 sts on the last row.
And I made a yo, k2tog on about the fourth last row to be able to find the power-button.
