Notes

I loved using this yarn the silk is so shiny and beautiful and once it’s blocked it has a elegance and airyness that is just exquisite, and you won’t have any problems with it splitting like you do with some 2plys, but use life lines because if you need to frog or if you drop a stitch, (as is true of all silk yarns) this yarn is slippery and has a habit of turning a little dropped stitch into a big mess, using bamboo needles might help with the slipperyness just make sure the tip is sharp to make the lace knitting easier.
This pattern is knit from the center neck down, with all wrong side rows in purl, which is nice because it gives you a row of just purl inbetween the lace rows so you can relax a little, the lace pattern is written in charts only, so if you have never used charts before do a little practice chart reading before hand, but it’s very simple right side rows are read from right to left and wrong side rows, from left to right, look at the symbol key for the meanings of each symbol, after that it all becomes so simple, because then you kind of have a visual already of how your lace should look, it takes the guess work out of lace.
