When seaming the squares into panels, my black yarn was too bulky for the slip stitch join in the pattern. I joined with 2 whip stitches in each stitch through the back loops.

I discovered there are a few mistakes in the pattern. I already knew that round 4 of the panel edging should say to join in the second sc of the 3 sc in the corner…. But the numbers for round 1 of the border edging is the number of stitches for round 2 of the edging. It should be 672 stitches. Round 2 of the edging should be 676 sc. When you make the corner in round 3, it is different than the corners of the panel edging. The dc gets worked into the front loop of the corner sc 2 rounds below. The numbers are essential for the stitches to fall into the right place.

The last border round is not right either. Make it like the borders of the panels and you should have it right, except there is no sc before or after the 3 in the corner stitch.

I switched to an H hook for the outer border because it seemed to flair a bit with the I.
