I did the middle size 64 stitches. Followed the pattern exactly apart from at the toe I didn’t kitchener the last few stitches, I just gathered them up together and secured them well.
The stitch pattern doesn’t have a lot of stretch to it, this means they are tight to get on over the heel. However, once on the fit is perfect for me as I like snug fitting socks. If I was to make them again I may use a bigger needle for the leg and change to the recommended size to do the heel flap and so on.
I do love these socks, I’m happy with the fit and think they are very pretty indeed.
